Episode 27 – Making the Cut: What Employers are looking for: Part.1

Standard

In this week’s episode we held a roundtable with some individuals from this industry that are in a similar situation. All of them own high-end studios and all of them are currently looking for employees to join their teams. However, in this employees market, we have noticed as an industry, that more shops than ever are looking to hire. However, if that is the case, why aren’t the positions being filled? Maybe the work force isn’t what it used to be? On the other hand, maybe it is because the work force isn’t up to current standards.

We sat down with Nick SanGregory of Six16 Body Piercing & Fine Jewelry in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Shelby and Adam Richins of Amory Body Arts. Each presenting a view of not only what they are looking for in an employee but also about why the industry may be experiencing this bubble.

So without further ado, , listen in as we talk about what desirable skills an employer looks for, how we can burst the employer bubble and why the explications as an owner are so high.

Nick can be found on his Instagram or at his website, Six16Piercing.com. Adam and Shelby Richins can be found on their Instagram respectively or at AmoryBodyArts.com.
